Pole mounted indirect luminaire for outdoor applications where contemporary styling is desired.
HOUSING
Luminaire consists of base, lens with decorative ring assembly, and secondary reflector with support struts. Decorative ring assembly surrounding lens is secured to the base with socket head cap screws and consists of aluminum rings separated by spacers. Simple cast aluminum luminaire base with integral slipfitter anchors three cast aluminum indirect reflector support struts with socket head cap screws and provides mounting surface for the optical assembly. Borosilicate glass lens has clear top with etched sidewalls and is sealed by compression to the luminaire base with single piece closed cell rubber gasket when the decorative ring assembly is installed. Top ring of assembly is separated from the glass lens with single piece “D” profile silicone gasket to prevent glass to metal contact. Spun aluminum indirect reflector is finished in high-reflectance white paint. Luminaire slipfits pole top tenon and has built-in stop to limit insertion depth to 4.5”. Slipfitter and pole shall have matching diameters to provide a smooth transition to the luminaire. Two offset rows of three 8mm recessed setscrews secure the luminaire to the pole. All hardware is stainless steel.
OPTICS
Vertical base down lamp and specular narrow beam reflector project light through the clear borosilicate lens top onto the secondary reflector, providing a symmetrical distribution. Etched sidewall on lens provides a subtle radiant glow.
ELECTRICAL
Electrical components are remote mounted in pole base.
Ceramic metal halide core and coil ballast for 70w and 35w lamps shall have class “H” (180°C) insulation system with a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter combination shall be capable of reliable starting to –20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter are UL and CSA recognized. G12 base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.
Ceramic metal halide electronic ballast for 150w lamp shall be Sound Rated A and Outdoor Type 1 rated. Ballast shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 97% and nominal ballast factor of 0.99. Total harmonic distortion shall be less than 10%. Ballast shall be capable of reliable starting to -20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage. Ballast is UL and CSA recognized. G12 base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.

POLE
Stepped steel pole is manufactured from cold drawn over mandrel, electric-weld, mechanical round steel tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.142”. Pole shall show no seam along shaft. Decorative ring between upper and lower shaft is secured with three recessed setscrews. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8” and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Pole is hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Base cover is one-piece 0.080” spun aluminum and finished to match the pole. Nominal pole height is 13’. FINISH
Housing is cleaned ultrasonically prior to painting. Standard finish is finely textured matte silver grey metallic or graphite grey. Special colors available on request.
WARRANTY
Limited product warranty period is three years. Lamp and ballast shall carry the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
