Electrical components are mounted in a conical spun aluminum enclosure at the base of the luminaire. Enclosure is painted white. Consult factory for quick disconnect ballast pod option.

Metal halide core and coil ballast with class "H" (180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast shall be capable of reliable starting to -20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast and capacitor are UL and CSA recognized. Mogul base porcelain socket for 250w metal halide is 1500w-600v, 4kV pulse rated. Medium base porcelain socket for 175w is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.

Mogul base porcelain socket for 250w high pressure sodium is 1500w-600v, 4kV pulse rated. Medium base porcelain socket for 150w high pressure sodium is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.

Fabricated steel bracket assembly is available in single or twin configurations. Upper shaft of the bracket assembly is sized to match the upper pole shaft, and is welded to the top of the slipfitter. Slipfitter insertion depth is 7.87". Slipfitter has two rows of four 8mm stainless steel setscrews to secure bracket to the pole. Steel rod with sleeving is welded to the top of the bracket assembly and serves as a wireway to supply power to the luminaire. Sleeving has radiussed inside edges to prevent damage to wiring. Steel rod terminates in fabricated steel luminaire attachment point. Two horizontal angled steel bars are welded to the attachment point and slipfitter. Bracket is hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Bracket assembly ships prewired with fishtape.
