Heavily finned housing and doorframe are cast aluminum. Luminaire mounts to bracket with three socket head cap screws on each side of the bracket arm into mounting holes fitted with stainless steel helical thread inserts at the rear of the heavy cast housing. Hinged doorframe is sealed to the housing with one-piece closed cell neoprene gasket and secured with two captive socket head cap screws. Clear tempered glass lens is machined to fit flush to the door and is mechanically retained and bonded to the door for a weather tight seal. Power cord exits luminaire at the rear of the housing into wire way on the bracket arm. Cord is sealed with a weather tight strain relief bushing at the luminaire. All hardware is stainless steel.

Metal halide core and coil ballast shall have class “H” (180°C) insulation system with a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter (150w model) combination shall be capable of reliable starting to –20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter (150w model) are UL and CSA recognized. RX7s porcelain sockets for 150w model are 660w-600v, 5kV pulse rated. FC2 porcelain sockets for 250w model are 1000w-600v, 5kV pulse rated

Fabricated steel mounting bracket with integral slipfitter is available in single or twin mount configurations. Arm consists of two steel plates welded to the slipfitter. Wire way for power cable to luminaire is welded to the bracket assembly. Pole cap is machined from 6060 aluminum for a flush fit to the pole top. Integral slipfitter has two rows of four recessed stainless steel setscrews for mounting to the pole.
