Luminaire housing, mounting plate, and lens ring are precision machined from 6082 aluminum, then satin anodized. Housing with integral cooling grooves is machined inside and out from 1.2” wall aluminum tubing. Lens ring with gasketed tempered glass lens fits flush to the housing and is secured with three recessed setscrews. Luminaire attaches to mounting plate with three recessed setscrews. Mounting plate mounts to ceiling with factory-supplied socket head lag screws and wall anchors over 3.5” or 4” octagon junction box.All hardware is stainless steel.

Base up ceramic metal halide lamp uses facetted specular aluminum reflector to provide symmetrical distribution. Reflector choices include narrow (10° beam) , medium (30° beam), and wide (55° beam) distributions. Matte glass disc adds diffusing element and is offset 1.7” from the lens ring with spacers and stainless steel socket head cap screws. Optional matte glass lens is available upon request.

Ceramic metal halide core and coil ballast with class “H” (180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter combination shall be capable of reliable starting to –20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter are UL and CSA recognized. G12 porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 5kV pulse rated.
