Pole mounted indirect
luminaire where contemporary styling is desired.
HOUSING
Luminaire housing
with integral ballast assembly is cast from high-grade aluminum alloy
with heavy cooling fins to enhance heat dissipation. Doorframe is
one-piece cast aluminum and hinged for easy maintenance. Clear tempered
glass lens is mechanically retained and bonded to the doorframe forming
a flush fit to the exterior surface. Door assembly is sealed with
closed cell silicone gasketing and secured by two captive socket head
cap screws. Reflector sail with integral ribbing is cast aluminum
and supported by two cast aluminum stanchions. Stanchion mounting
holes in the housing are machined and fitted with stainless steel
helical thread inserts. Fabricated steel slipfitter is attached to
housing with four socket head bolts. Slipfitter mounts to 3.5
O.D. pole and has built-in stop to limit insertion depth to 5.5.
Two offset rows of three recessed setscrews secure and level luminaire
to the pole. All hardware is stainless steel. .
OPTICS
Horizontal lamp is housed in specular anodized aluminum reflector, laser cut
for precise reproduction. Sail reflector material is profiled matte
anodized aluminum and is mechanically retained and bonded to the adjustable
sail. Sail is field adjustable to 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°,
or 60° above horizontal and fixed in place with stainless steel
locking screws. Precision-machined anodized aluminum adjustment knobs
securely lock the sail in place.
ELECTRICAL
150w ceramic metal halide core
and coil ballast with class H (180°C) insulation system
shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast
factor of 1.0. Assembled ballast with precision wound coils is vacuum
impregnated with silica-filled polyester resin to re-enforce the electrical
insulation, preclude moisture, inhibit noise, and dissipate heat.
Ballast and starter (where applicable) combination shall be capable
of reliable starting to 20°F (-30°C) at nominal line
voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter (where applicable)
are UL and CSA recognized. RX7s porcelain sockets are 660w-600v, 5kV pulse rated.
210w ceramic metal halide electronic ballast shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90%. Universal ballast accepts 200v through 277v input at 50/60 Hz. Electronic ballast shall be capable of reliable starting to 20°F (-30°C) . Ballast is UL and CSA recognized. PGZ18 porcelain socket is 5kV pulse rated.

POLE
Round tapered steel pole is manufactured from cold drawn over mandrel,
electric-weld, mechanical round steel tubing with nominal wall thickness
of 0.177. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with
kerf not to exceed 1/8 and includes triangular tamper-resistant
locking device. Pole is hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and
out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. One-piece base cover
is 0.080 spun aluminum and finished to match the pole. Nominal
pole height is 13. See pole data sheet for mounting details.
Twin mount bracket assembly is fabricated from steel, then hot-dip
galvanized. Slipfitter has internal stop to limit insertion depth
to 7.4. Assembly slipfits 3.5 O.D. pole and is secured
with two rows of three 10mm stainless steel setscrews.
FINISH
Housing is cleaned
in an ultrasonic detergent bath prior to painting. Standard finish
is finely textured matte silver grey metallic. Special colors available
on request.
WARRANTY
Limited product
warranty period is three years. Lamps and ballasts shall carry the
respective manufacturer's limited warranty.
