Contemporary wall mounted indirect luminaire for area lighting applications where an absence of poles is desired.
HOUSING
Floodlight and ballast enclosure are cast aluminum and mounted to fabricated aluminum wall bracket with stainless steel hardware. Wall mounted secondary reflector assembly mounts to wall surface 6’ above floodlight. Hinged doorframe for floodlight is secured with single captive socket head cap screw and sealed to the housing with one-piece closed cell silicone gasket. Tempered glass lens with black screen-printed border is ¼” thick and bonded to the doorframe with silicone. Fabricated steel secondary reflector bracket supports formed aluminum roof, housing the secondary reflector system. Bracket is hot-dip galvanized, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Wall bracket for floodlight and ballast enclosure mounts to wall surface over 3.5” octagon outlet box, by others. All hardware is stainless steel.
OPTICS
Specular spun aluminum reflector projects narrow beam distribution onto the secondary reflector. Matte black band is press-fit to the inner perimeter of the reflector and combined with an independent internal louver assembly consisting of two circular louvers and center cup for precise light control. Internal shielding elements eliminate glare when viewed from normal viewing angles above the luminaire. Louver assembly attaches to the doorframe and allows access for relamping without removal of reflector or shielding elements.
Secondary reflector is composed of 98 injection molded plastic facets. Facets are vacuum metallized for specularity and finished with double layer of protective clearcoat. Facet curvatures shall vary according to the desired horizontal distribution pattern. Specify Area or Street distribution.
Optional façade facets may be fitted to the outer three rows of the secondary reflector panel, providing both façade and horizontal illumination. Specify Area / Façade or Steet / Façade distribution.
ELECTRICAL
Ceramic metal halide core and coil ballast with class “H” (180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter combination shall be capable of reliable starting to –20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter are UL and CSA recognized. G12 base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 5kV pulse rated.
