High performance pole mounted indirect luminaire for applications where uniform, low-brightness illumination and dramatic styling are desired.
HOUSING
Conical cast aluminum housing with integral fitter houses the primary reflector and electrical components and provides support base for the secondary reflector struts. Clear tempered glass lens is bonded to machined aluminum lens frame. Lens frame seals to housing with one-piece silicone gasket and secure with four socket head cap screws. Four acrylic struts mount to the outside of the luminaire housing with concealed brackets and extend upward to support the secondary reflector panel. Decorative spun aluminum rings with satin anodized finish encircle the housing and base of struts and are attached with blind rivets and concealed brackets to provide a floating appearance. Acrylic struts are 0.48" thick with "C" profile cross section and are tinted green to resemble the appearance of glass. Circular secondary reflector panel is 0.60" thick and houses the facetted secondary reflector system. Cast aluminum brackets secure the panel to the struts. All hardware is stainless steel.
OPTICS
Primary spun aluminum reflector with specular finish projects narrow beam upward onto the facetted secondary reflector panel. Shielding elements for the primary reflector consists of a matte black band press-fit to the inner perimeter of the reflector opening combined with an internal louver assembly to minimize extraneous spill light while reducing brightness when viewed from above. Louver assembly attaches to the lens frame and allows access for relamping without removal of the reflector or shielding elements.
Secondary reflector is composed of 72 injection molded plastic facets. Facets are vacuum metallized for specularity and finished with double layer of protective clearcoat. Facet curvatures shall vary according to the desired horizontal distribution pattern. Wide (Area) and narrow (Street) distributions are available in rectangular symmetric or asymmetric patterns.
ELECTRICAL
Ceramic metal halide core and coil ballast with class “H” (180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter combination shall be capable of reliable starting to –20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter are UL and CSA recognized. G12 base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 5kV pulse rated.

POLE
Inverted tapered steel pole is manufactured from cold drawn over mandrel, electric-weld, mechanical round steel tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.177”. Pole tapers from 8.6” O.D. at top of pole to 4.7” O.D. at the base. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8” and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Pole is hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Nominal pole height is 13’. Soil insert is required.
FINISH
Standard finish is finely textured matte silver grey metallic or graphite grey. Special colors available on request.
