Pole mounted direct-indirect luminaire for outdoor applications where contemporary styling is desired.
HOUSING
Luminaire housing is formed from single-piece brushed stainless steel then welded and finished to show no visible seam. Lower frameless tempered glass lens is hinged and secured with two stainless steel quarter-turn fasteners for easy relamping. Housing is gasketed to provide a weather-tight seal. Matte impact resistant acrylic upper lens is bonded to the luminaire and provides diffuse uplight. Decorative panel above luminaire is 0.40” thick matte impact resistant acrylic. Panel is attached to the pole with steel mounting pinch plate and suspended from above with 0.24” diameter stainless steel support rod and turnbuckle. Steel mounting pinch plate is hot-dip galvanized, and finished to match pole. All hardware is stainless steel.
OPTICS
Horizontal lamp is positioned within the formed aluminum reflector consisting of specular and hammertone anodized aluminum sheet, laser cut for precise reproduction. Opening in top of reflector provides uplight through the integral acrylic lens onto the decorative panel. Lower clear tempered glass lens provides direct illumination below luminaire.
ELECTRICAL
Ceramic metal halide core and coil ballast for 70w lamp shall have class “H” (180°C) insulation system with a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter combination shall be capable of reliable starting to –20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter are UL and CSA recognized. Medium base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.
Ceramic metal halide electronic ballast for 150w lamp shall be Sound Rated A and Outdoor Type 1 rated. Ballast shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 97% and nominal ballast factor of 0.99. Total harmonic distortion shall be less than 10%. Ballast shall be capable of reliable starting to -20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage. Ballast is UL and CSA recognized. G12 base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.

POLE
Main shaft of laddered steel pole is manufactured from two parallel 0.118” thick rectangular tube sections separated by square tubing welded at evenly spaced intervals along the length of the shaft. Parallel 0.32” thick steel plate sections are welded to the top of the pole shaft with additional square tubing spacer to provide attachment point for the decorative panel support rod. Shaft at base of pole is constructed of steel plate sections welded together to resemble an I-beam. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8” and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Pole is hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Nominal pole height is 24'. See pole data sheet for mounting details.
FINISH
Housing is stainless steel. Standard finish for pole is finely textured matte silver grey metallic or graphite grey. Special colors available on request.
WARRANTY
Limited product
warranty period is three years. Lamp and ballast shall carry the respective
manufacturer's limited warranty.
