Pole mounted
luminaire for outdoor applications where contemporary styling are
desired.
HOUSING
Heavy-duty round
domed housing and hinged doorframe are cast aluminum. Doorframe forms
a reveal when closed and is secured with single captive socket head
cap screw. Hollow core "D" profile silicone gasketing provides
weather-tight seal. Hinged reflector plate, painted with high reflectance
white paint, swings down allowing access to ballast components. Housing
is fitted with stainless steel weather-tight strain relief bushing
for the power cable exiting the rear of the housing. Bracket mounting
holes on each side of the housing are fitted with stainless steel
helical thread inserts. Pole top beacon is machined aluminum consisting
of top cap supported by four aluminum support rods anchored to the
luminaire base. All hardware is stainless steel.
OPTICS
Horizontal lamp
is positioned within the formed aluminum reflector consisting of semi-specular
and hammertone anodized aluminum sheet, laser cut for precise reproduction.
Clear UV-resistant, acrylic drop lens is impact resistant (400w model
has clear tempered convex glass lens). Beacon consists of vertical
base down compact fluorescent positioned within cylindrical matte
acrylic lens. Optional colored lens is available for beacon.
ELECTRICAL
Metal halide
core and coil ballast with class "H" (180°C) insulation
system shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal
ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast shall be capable of reliable starting
to -20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast,
capacitor, and starter (where applicable) are UL and CSA recognized.
Mogul base porcelain socket is 1500w-600v, 4kV pulse rated. Medium
base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.
High pressure sodium core and coil ballast with class "H"
(180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor
rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter
combination shall be capable of reliable starting to -40°F (-40°C)
at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and
starter are UL and CSA recognized. Mogul base porcelain socket is
1500w-600v, 4kV pulse rated. Medium base porcelain socket is 660w-600v,
4kV pulse rated.
Fabricated steel
bracket assembly with welded construction is composed of two steel
plate sections strengthened by two gussets and cross support rods
on opposing sides of the slipfitter. Square tubing welded to the inside
of the plate sections provides additional structural support and serves
as a concealed wireway for the luminaire power cable. Integral slipfitter
has two rows of four recessed stainless steel setscrews for mounting
to the pole. Top of slipfitter has extension for mounting the illuminating
beacon. Two opposing decorative vertical straps at the base of the
bracket assembly are attached to standoffs on the pole shaft with
stainless steel hardware. Bracket is hot-dip galvanized inside and
out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Lower bracket of similar
construction attaches to pole with four stainless steel bolts.
Round tapered steel pole is manufactured from cold drawn seamless
mechanical tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.177". Flush
mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8"
and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Pole is
hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded
prior to painting. Two-piece base cover with tamper-proof fasteners
is fabricated from 0.080" spun aluminum and finished to match
the pole. Nominal pole height is 28'. See pole data sheet for mounting

FINISH
Housing is ultrasonically
cleaned prior to painting. Standard finish is finely textured matte
silver grey metallic or graphite grey. Special colors available on
request.
WARRANTY
Limited product
warranty period is three years. Lamps and ballasts shall carry the
respective manufacturer's limited warranty.
