Pole mounted luminaire for outdoor applications where contemporary styling is desired.
HOUSING
Spherical caged post top luminaire consists of housing, globe, and fabricated cage assembly with integral slipfitter. Luminaire housing is machined from 6060 aluminum and grooved to accept one piece closed cell silicone gasketing for a weather tight seal to the globe. Spherical opaque acrylic globe installs to the housing with quarter turn and is secured with single socket head cap screw. Housing mounts to the cage assembly with threaded brass bushing and locked into place with a single recessed setscrew. Cage assembly is constructed of four curved steel rods welded to the integral slipfitter for single mount configuarion and to the mounting bracket for twin mount configurations. Three external aluminum rings fasten to the top of the cage assembly with spacers and hardware. Single postmount luminaire slipfits 3.0” O.D. pole or tenon, and has built-in stop to limit insertion depth to 5.1”. Two offset rows of three 10mm recessed setscrews secure the luminaire to the pole. All hardware is stainless steel.
OPTICS
Vertical base down lamp is positioned within the spherical opaque acrylic lens. Internal specular top reflector redirects uplight to the ground producing symmetrical light distribution.
ELECTRICAL
Compact fluorescent high frequency electronic ballast shall be Class P and Outdoor Type 1 rated. Ballast shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 98% and nominal ballast factor of 0.98. Total harmonic distortion shall be less than 10%. Ballast shall be capable of reliable starting to 0°F (-18°C) at nominal line voltage and frequency of ±10%. Ballast shall be UL and CSA recognized. G24q-3 lamp socket is 75w-600v rated.
Bracket assembly for twin mount configuration is fabricated from steel, then hot-dip galvanized. Individual bracket arm with welded luminaire cage assembly consists of two round steel tubes welded to bracket center post. Post cap for center post is machined from 6060 aluminum and painted to match pole and bracket. Mounting bracket slipfits 3” O.D. pole and is secured with two rows of three 10mm stainless steel setscrews. Slipfitter has built-in stop to limit insertion depth to 5.1”. Bracket is hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Bracket assembly ships prewired with fishtape.
Stepped steel pole is manufactured from cold drawn over mandrel, electric-weld, mechanical round steel tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.142”. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8” and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Pole is hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Base cover is one-piece 0.080” spun aluminum and finished to match the pole. FINISH
Housing is cleaned ultrasonically prior to painting. Standard finish is finely textured matte silver grey metallic or black. Special colors available on request.
WARRANTY
Limited product
warranty period is three years. Lamp and ballast shall carry the respective
manufacturer's limited warranty.
