Truncated wedge shaped housing is cast aluminum. Luminaire mounts to bracket with concealed hardware. Frameless tempered glass lens is hinged and is sealed to the housing with one-piece closed cell neoprene gasket and secured with single quarter-turn fastener for tool-less access to lamp compartment. Flat lens is 0.24" thick with screen-printed masking for aesthetics. Power cord exits luminaire at the rear of the housing into wire way on the bracket arm. Cord is sealed with a weather tight strain relief bushing at the luminaire. All hardware is stainless steel.

Ceramic metal halide core and coil ballast shall have class “H” (180°C) insulation system with a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter combination shall be capable of reliable starting to –20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter are UL and CSA recognized. G12 base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.

Slipfitter is fabricated and machined from 6060 aluminum and available in single or twin mount configurations. Pole cap is machined from 6082 aluminum for a flush fit to the pole top. Slipfitter has two rows of three recessed stainless steel setscrews for mounting to the pole top tenon. External slipfitter and pole have matching diameters for visual aesthetics.

Steel Pole
Steel pole is manufactured from cold drawn over mandrel, electric-weld, mechanical round steel tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.142” for 15' pole or 0.157" wall thickness for 20' pole. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8” and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Tenon is machined to match the inside diameter of the pole, then inserted into the pole shaft and plug welded, showing no visible weld at the transition. Pole and bracket are hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. One-piece base cover is 0.080” spun aluminum and finished to match the pole. Nominal pole heights are 15’ with 4" diameter and 20' with 4.8" diameter.

Aluminum Pole
Aluminum pole is manufactured from seamless 6061 aluminum tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.187”. Pole is heat treated to produce a T6 temper. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8” and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Tenon is machined to match the inside diameter of the pole, then inserted into the pole shaft and plug welded, showing no visible weld at the transition. One-piece base cover is 0.080” spun aluminum and finished to match the pole. Nominal pole height is 15' with 4" diameter or 20' with 4.8" diameter..
