Illuminating bollard
for outdoor applications where glare-free illumination and contemporary
styling are desired.
HOUSING
Luminaire housing with integral louver assembly and concealed fasteners consists of domed cast top and machined aluminum base joined together by four aluminum support rods. Top and base are gasketed to provide a weather-tight seal to the clear acrylic lens. Socket enclosure is spun aluminum. Luminaire housing assembly twists onto grooved top plate of the bollard shaft and secured in place with single stainless steel setscrew. All hardware is stainless steel.
OPTICS
Vertical base down
lamp positioned within the clear cylindrical acrylic lens provides
symmetrical distribution. Internal louver shields the lamp at normal
viewing angles. Louver, socket enclosure, and interior surfaces of
luminaire head are painted white.
ELECTRICAL
Ceramic metal halide core and coil ballast with class "H"
(180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor
rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter
combination shall be capable of reliable starting to -20°F (-30°C)
at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and
starter are UL and CSA recognized. Medium base porcelain socket
is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.
High pressure sodium core and coil ballast with class "H"
(180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor
rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast and starter
combination shall be capable of reliable starting to -40°F (-40°C)
at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and
starter are UL and CSA recognized. Medium base porcelain socket
is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated.

SHAFT
Extruded 6061-T6 aluminum shaft is 7" in diameter with nominal wall thickness of 0.280". Machined top plate is welded to the shaft and is grooved to accept the luminaire head. Electrical components mount to underside of socket bracket assembly and installs into the top of the bollard shaft. Bollard mounts to flangeless cylindrical mounting base with three recessed stainless steel setscrews. Mounting base installs onto three 1/2" x 15" x 3" galvanized steel anchors embedded into concrete foundation (by others).
FINISH
Housing is cleaned
ultrasonically prior to painting. Standard finish is finely textured
matte silver grey metallic or black. Special colors available on request.
WARRANTY
Limited product
warranty period is three years. Lamp and ballast shall carry the respective
manufacturer's limited warranty.
